Hutchison Ports has recently obtained the approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for our submitted groupwise greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets and 2050 net-zero target. SBTi confirmed the conformity of our targets with their net-zero criteria. Our targets are in line with the trajectory to limit global warming to 1.5o C above pre-industrial levels.
To achieve the GHG emissions reduction targets, Hutchison Ports has developed a net-zero strategic roadmap which takes into account the past emissions pattern, future plan on electrification of fleet, adoption of renewable energy and alternative fuel.
